Directions for Use
SeaGreens Organic Seed Raising Mix is ready to use and is suitable for propagating both seeds or cuttings. The mixture is designed for excellent germination and root development, however both will require feeding with a half strength liquid fertiliser soon after emergence.

For Seeds
Ensure drainage holes. Gently firm down to scrape off surplus and gently pat/fill over its adequate depth. Slightly over fill to have settle the mixture. Follow instructions on seed packet. As a general rule, finer seeds require the shallower planting depth. Lightly cover seeds with mixture. Place in a warm, bright position. Keep moist. Avoid excessive heat and water loss by gradually warming, progressive and harden off frequently as they have reached 2-3cm in height. If planting out, exposing more to the elements can be slowed once they have reached seedlings. Plan to place outside when the weather is mild and consistent. Keep moist. Thin out as required.

For Cuttings
Prepare container in the same way as for seeds. Begin propagating according to the type of plant being propagated and season. Make holes in the mixture with a pencil or dibber of approximately 2cm in depth. Place cutting in hole, gently firm the mixture. Water in a gentle, fine spray lightly place in warm, humid area and keep moist. Avoid excessive heat and water loss. Cuttings should be watered from a gradually sized container remembering to a gradually stage up reporting.
