The SeaGreens Story
Tasmania is blessed with an abundance of clean, natural resources within easy transportable reach. Having a well-established transport and distribution regime, HALS has built synergies with like-minded companies willing to collaborate to reduce waste to landfill. Our SeaGreens range exemplifies this thinking.

Waste seaweed extracts are collected and then composted with clean waste biomass in an aerobic process for up to ten weeks with constant monitoring of core temperatures and nutrient levels to ensure the microbes are busy breaking down the organic matter. The end result is our premium, seaweed infused, certified organic horticultural media known as SeaGreens.
SeaGreens Organic Compost
SeaGreens Organic Compost is rich in nutrients from incorporated seaweed and organic screened cow manure. This compost is full of micro biology and free from untraceable green wastes and other untraceable inputs. For use in ground and not for pots and not recommended for around phosphorous sensitive native plants.
SeaGreens Organic Potting Mix
An Australian Certified Organic Potting Mix ideal for most plant types. SeaGreens Organic Potting Mix is rich in nutrients from incorporated seaweed extract. This mix has a great balance between drainage and water holding capacity. Can be used for indoor or outdoor pots/containers.

An Australian Certified Organic garden soil ideal for a wide range of uses from in ground planting, veggie beds, flower beds and more. SeaGreens Organic Garden Soil is made with loam, screened cow manure, SeaGreens Compost and with a small amount of composted potting bark for drainage and to reduce the effects of compaction over time.
SeaGreens Organic Seed Raising Mix
An Australian Certified Organic Seed Raising Mix ideal for most plant types. SeaGreens Organic Seed Raising Mix has a good balance between drainage and water holding capacity and seedlings will benefit from the incorporated seaweed extract. This mix can be used for indoor or outdoor pots/trays. Ideal for cuttings, seed germination & seedlings.
